The set consists of … Read more Sublime set of twelve giltwood dining armchairs crafted in the grand neoclassical French Louis XVI taste. The set consists of all fauteuil style armchairs constructed from beech carved frames featuring an opulent gilt finish. The finish is intentionally distressed to mimic age as seen in photos. The frames have gracefully curved arms ending with a square scrolled back. The generous seats are newly reupholstered with a light beige linen fabric. The seat apron has carved rosettes and is supported by Greco-Roman column style legs decorated with acanthus and ending with ball feet. The arms measure 25 inches high. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Bespoke chairs made in the California romantic style of Dennis and Leen, Rose Tarlow, and Formations to name a few. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. Sold as a set of twelve.
