Large vintage Aztec vs. Conquistadors chess set. A true piece of functional art. Each piece is a resin mold with what I believe is stone pieces. Each chess piece is molded as well as each inlay to the wooden base. Features two drawers for chess piece storage. Sides are decorated with different design and creature pieces. Chess board top depicts the Aztec calendar.
The chess set is
18” x 18” and 3.75” tall
The height of the chess pieces vary between 4.5-6.5”
This is a particularly older version of this set.
