An intricately-carved mahogany marble top console with a Carrera-type white marble top above a dentil-molded frieze supported by two life-size … Read more An intricately-carved mahogany marble top console with a Carrera-type white marble top above a dentil-molded frieze supported by two life-size carved hounds in the front and lyre-style supports in the back, the sides with scallop shells on the base and garlands at the top, all resting on a plinth base with similar dentil-type molding. Probably dating from the 70's, the console exhibits only minor wear and some small shrinkage cracks in one of the dog's tails. There is some sun fading on the left side. Beautiful carving and intricate detail--a statement piece in a hallway or living room. See less
