Mary's sweet gaze, leaning towards her son, expresses great tranquility and maternal happiness. The rounded faces, the luminous complexions and the bucolic composition in the background end up giving the work all its infinite sweetness.

The work is presented in a richly carved wooden frame decorated with vegetal motifs in relief from the 19th century. See less
