sculpture signed a. Deluol and dated 1946.
andré deluol was a french artist (1909-1981) whose work is characterized by direct carving in various types of stone or marble. From the beginning of his career, he was a member of various parisian and french artist salons, and achieved success thanks to numerous public commissions.
his works are now found in various museums, as well as in the family home-museum dedicated to him in vendée.
the sculpture is in good general condition, mounted on a square stone base (some chips).
