Antique Double Bed in Walnut, First Half of 1800, with a boat-shaped structure entirely veneered in good thickness and decorated … Read more Antique Double Bed in Walnut, First Half of 1800, with a boat-shaped structure entirely veneered in good thickness and decorated with Empire-style motifs, masks within laurel frames and decorations with palmettes inlaid in maple and pyrographed; the uprights and pinnacles are made with vertical threads; the feet of the tread are turned and carved with a dark patina. On the headboard, inlaid cherubs are framed by a carved cornice with two large scrolls.

The antique bed is in good condition, with a splendid original patina and minimal signs of wear, compatible with its two centuries of age.

It can be dismantled into four parts. The internal dimensions are cm. 204 x 159, it comes from a private home where the bed base rested on very worn and no longer usable crosspieces, so a custom-made box must be built. The tread has a maximum height of cm. 121.5. See less
