I also really like the simplicity of paper-cutting. These delicate botanical silhouettes are carefully hand-cut out of heavy weight etching paper and glued on a hardboard green painted paper ground via collage. I have layered the cut-outs with many coats of varnish and cold wax for protection (no need for glass). The outer textile pattern is coated then glued to a wide wooden frame. The edge of the frame is gold leaf and is lightly distressed. A small inside lip of the frame is also gold leaf. There is no glass in this piece, it is sturdy and protected by varnish and cold wax. The overall size of the piece is 15"x17", with the inner paper cut art at 8"x10". Ready to hang, signed on the back. See less
