One in a series of three abstract paintings made in 2023 by Amanda Andersen. An array of loose geometric shapes: rectangles, triangles and circles converse with one another in a vibrant language of form and color. Bold lines intersect, creating an intricate web of energy and movement that draws the viewer into the playful composition. In the artist's signature style, which often involves assembling different hard-edged shapes meticulously together. This piece includes many unique shapes in a fun and harmonious combination of colors; cloud blue, light pink and bright fusia, pale yellow, burgundy, cobalt blue, moss green / sage green, dark navy blue and white.
The artwork is initialed on the back by the artist.
Made with acrylic and gouache paint with colored pencil on thick, acid free, black archival paper.
Original will be shipped rolled in a tube from Hamburg.
About the artist: Amanda Andersen has been a professional artist for over 10 years; working mostly in acrylic paint on canvas. Her work balances minimal compositions with bold, high-contrast patterns and vibrant colors, navigating a space between the abstract and figurative. Inspired by the rigid lines of Agnes Martin and organic forms of Eva Hesse, she also adores fantasy films, surrealism, brutalist architecture and a really smooth gradient. Her work has shown internationally, including: the Kunstraum Kreuzberg in Berlin, Tiny Creatures in Los Angeles, the National Centre for Contemporary Arts State Museum in St Petersburg. Her work has been featured in Art Review, Art Kunstmagazin and is held in many private collections including the MOMA Art Library and MACBA Barcelona. This piece has an attribution mark,
