Eastern-inspired ceramic ginger jar table lamp with playful handpainted storytelling all around.
The Chinoiserie artwork is featuring 7 cranes (herons or egrets) with mischievous and sly expressions, playing peek-a-boo in the pine trees.
A 1970s interpretation of "Famille Noire" - a type of Chinese porcelain characterized by a black ground - in this case a subtle matte glaze decorated with overglaze enamel in various colors.
Colors include muted jadite and sage, aquas and tea green, soft pastell pinks and washed out light blues, pale yellow, pops of crimson red accents, and a hint of metallic gold/copper colored thin lines.
Footed with an eggplant colored composite base with patina.
Comes with the original harp and finial.
No lampshade or lightbulb included.
