Original Eames compact sofa. This has been reupholstered with a navy/black/white boucle fabric. Charles and Ray Eames compact couch is great design that keeps a subtle profile. The cushioned pads that form the back are reinforced with cord welting and the seat cushions are supported by a steel and spring armature.
This particular Sofa is from the estate of Herman Miller designer Royce Engel. Provenance The Estate of Royce G. Engel (1930-2023) The Eames Sofa Compact (designed by Charles and Ray Eames) is a sleek, elegant, slender, strong, steel-based minimalist piece of classic mid-century furniture. It was scaled to fit into spall spaces.
This couch is in great condition with new fabric.
