The area of Barcelona where I first sketched this scene is called Barceloneta, or Little Barcelona. I was struck by all the colors of Spain in one setting. The architectural shape of the white lifeguard shacks really caught my eye, with the enclave, in all it's apricot hues, as a backdrop. See less
