A remarkable set of six antique Renaissance Revival hand carved oak dining side chairs. These impressive heavily-carved chairs are of solid oak construction, remarkable execution and exceptional quality. They feature an ornate shell, leafy scrollwork and barley twist carved and cane back, stretcher base and turn carved legs, The seats are upholstered in a red and taupe checkered fabric with embroidered detail. The finials and floral scrollwork on two of the chairs vary slightly from the others.

This house-ready set was sourced from a well-appointed, pet-free home in Greenwich, Connecticut, a popular suburban outpost for New York City’s Upper East Siders and considered one of the most desirable communities in the country.
