This midcentury Capodimonte porcelain figural lamp captures the charm and innocence of rural life with its depiction of a young village boy.
The centerpiece of the lamp is a finely crafted and hand-painted porcelain figure, standing 13 inches tall. The boy has curly hair, rendered in soft brown tones, that peeks out from beneath a wide-brimmed hat. His youthful face is delicately painted, with rosy cheeks and a serene expression.
The boy is dressed in traditional countryside attire, featuring a cream-colored shirt, a black vest, and patched trousers, painted in warm orange hues. Slung over his shoulder is a rifle and a satchel.
A cage rests behind his left ankle. Worn leather boots, one of which is thigh high, while the other expose his toes.
The figurine is mounted on a wood base painted antique white with a gold border.
