On the italian … Read more Murano pendant lamp venini, model 486a, was designed in 1962 by paolo venini for venini & c. On the italian island of murano, world-renowned for its glassblowing tradition. This mouth-blown lamp is finished in orange glass with a white inner layer, creating a warm and atmospheric glow. It comes directly from the old stock of the dutch lighting company indoor, which imported high-end italian lamps in the 1960s. Depending on the bulb used (e.g., mirrored or globe lamp), the light effect can vary. Suitable for led, energy-saving, or incandescent bulbs. Dimensions: diameter = 11 cm, height = 30 cm. Material: glass (mouth-blown). Colors: orange (visible), white (inner layer). Source: indoor lighting catalogue 1962, page 43 – see photo. The lamp is in very good condition for its age, with no chips or damage to the glass. The wiring has been professionally replaced by an electrician.
