Equestrian Portrait of Philip IV after Diego Velázquez, circa last quarter 20th century.
Diego Velázquez Spanish (1599-1660) painted the original in 1635 which is on display at the
Museo del Prado.
The painting features King Philip IV on his horse in stride. He is seated in armoir and appears to be holding a map in his hand. The oil painting is on canvas with natural craquelure and ornately framed with scalloping and gold finish.
