This desk lamp is the A4 model designed by French designer Alain Richard in 1958 for the manufacturer Disderot. It consists of a Carrara marble disc to which a vertical chrome-plated metal stem is attached.
A black lacquered aluminum reflector completes the design; it slides along the stem, allowing the height of the light to be adjusted.
