A charming mid-century modernist style landscape composition, painted in oil onto canvas by the established Swedish artist Richard Björklund (1897–1974), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the National Museum in Stockholm, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Malmo Museum, Ystads Art Museum, and others.

The painting captures a tranquil rural scene rendered with bold simplification and abstracted form. The skilful interplay of light and shadow suggests a late afternoon sun. Thatched-roof cottages are nestled along a gently curving path, partially obscured by the angular branches of leafless trees. The geometric structure of the roofs contrasts beautifully with the organic rhythm of the trunks and overhanging limbs.
