Executed in modeling clay and acrylic on a circular fir wood base (30 cm ø), the piece evokes a cratered lunar surface subtly interrupted by a vertical rhythm of brightly colored parasols. These chromatic elements—rendered in primary and secondary hues—introduce a surreal, terrestrial dissonance within the otherwise grayscale relief. “the rays will move, the planets too, and we’ll move with them. In the darkness we will search for the slice of fake eternity in which to delude ourselves into thinking we are better.” with this reflection, vizzi offers a sculptural metaphor for cyclical desire, false permanence, and the projection of human rituals onto larger cosmic scales.
