Paul Simons
Eastern Woman, 1980s
Marble and stone base
Height 81 cm
Vertical composition in white marble with dark stone inlay. The abstracted, cloaked figure evokes silence and introspection. Strongly linear, yet softened by curved volumes that envelop the form in a fluid gesture. The facial detail, minimal and mask-like, is reduced to essential contrast.
Created by Dutch sculptor Paul Simons (b. 1936), known for his refined, spiritual visual language in stone and bronze. His work explores the boundary between abstraction and archetype, often referencing universal forms and cultural symbolism.
Very good condition. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
