An incredible antique German oil depicting a remote mountainous Alp landscape with a cabin, set in a newer frame. Signed in the lower right corner by AD Dihlman Munchen. Carl Dihlmann (pseudonym AD Dihlman) (1857-1920). Dihlman is a listed artist of the German school and he is noted for his paintings of the Alps of Europe, this piece being one. Dihlmann was not only a landscape artist, but also a famous engineer and architect in his day. Dihlmannstraße, a street in Berlin, was named in his honor.
