An original vintage 1970s pendant lamp of spun aluminium with a copper-coloured lacquer, a black-lacquered wooden cone and a very … Read more An original vintage 1970s pendant lamp of spun aluminium with a copper-coloured lacquer, a black-lacquered wooden cone and a very thick prismatic glass insert with fine ribbing to the interior, fluting to the sides, and a fun bubble-like texture to the underside, all of which spread, refract and diffuse the light in interesting ways without too much glare. The ventilation grille of very fine slots also allows a little light to be cast upwards.

The lamp is probably British, but takes features from Danish and Swedish lighting.

It has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired with an Italian-made earthed E27 Edison screw lamp holder and a generous length of Italian 3-core double-insulated cable with a bold retro orange Rayon sheath.
