Vibrant circular portrait in blue and pink hues, exploring identity, migration, and resilience through contemporary figurative language. This work, Currency #267, is a hand-painted acrylic portrait on a round pine wood panel, 26 cm in diameter and 2 cm thick. The piece belongs to the ongoing series Monedas de Cambio (I am sorry, I am not from here) by Natasha Lelenco, a project examining personal and collective value systems through coin-like portraits that commemorate lived experience. Set against a saturated blue ground, the figure is softly modeled in purple and magenta tones, facing in profile. Around the edge, a circular inscription in Galician reads: “Non foi doado, pero valeu a pena” (“It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it”), transforming the work into a token of endurance and self-affirmation. Executed in acrylic with a luminous, layered finish, the panel is conceived to work either individually or as part of a scalable wall installation. Each unit in the series interlocks conceptually and visually, forming adaptable groupings tailored to space and narrative. This artwork extends Natasha Lelenco’s exploration of hybrid identity, voice, and presence—anchored in formal precision and poetic expression. This piece has an attribution mark,
