It was painted with a limited palette … Read more This elegant painting was made with saturation and desaturation of color in mind. It was painted with a limited palette and the subtlety in it is intentional. You can hardly make out the American Avocets or "nosey neighbors" hanging around the Trumpeter Swan, a scene I witnessed in Yellowstone National Park last year. It is done with many layers of acrylic paint along with some mark making tools like pencil and colored pencil. There is also som collage buried in the layers giving it actual texture. It measures 30" x 24" and is ready to hang with the sides of the stretched canvas painted a midnight blue. See less
