Lovely antique wood trunk or Blanket Chest.
Estate sale - enjoyed for many years.
Patina as would be expected from a mid-late 1800's truck.
Dovetailed sides and a flat top.
Solid construction. Hinges in good condition. No key.
Open trunk base.
Side handles made of heavy, stiff rope. These were as purchased.
Always in use. In the house. Exterior condition as expected from antique but very solid and usable.
Dimensions:
Measurements are from the longer points - molding edges to molding edges.
Unsure what type of wood. The color differential seen on the top edge and on the inside of the trunk top may be a veneer and a different type of wood.
Enjoy this lovely piece in your home. Great as a coffee table, end of the bed for storage or seating, or stack with another trunk for added interest and storage. Just a great piece.
