Lovely antique solid wood trunk or Blanket Chest.
Estate sale - Purchased in 1981 in Pennsylvania and enjoyed for many years.
Patina as would be expected from a mid-late 1800's truck.
Dovetailed sides.
Small inner storage area with top. The side of that area lifts up to reveal a secret two drawers which are HIDDEN DRAWERS.
Solid construction. Hinges in good condition. No key.
Open trunk base.
Iron side handles.
Always in use. In the house. Exterior condition as expected from antique but very solid and usable.
Unsure what type of wood. Receipt states "Pine Blanket Chest."
Enjoy this lovely piece in your home. Great as a coffee table, end of the bed for storage or seating, or stack with another trunk for added interest and storage. Just a great piece.
