This mirror is Style No. 6657, a Queen Anne–style frame made by Mirror Fair in the 1990s. It was designed based on an original mirror from the British Stately Homes collection.
• Craftsmanship: Entirely made at Mirror Fair’s workshop on East 95th Street, NYC
• Construction: Wooden core with a detailed polyester composite coating for the ornate carving
• Finish: Originally gilded in gold metal leaf with a hand-applied amber glaze (now muted with age)
• Glass:
• Top mirror: hand-beveled
• Bottom mirror: machine-beveled
• Size: Very large; intended as a dramatic, stately decorative piece
