Set of 6 Mid-Century Modern Dining Chairs by Miroslav Navrátil for Vertex, 1950s This elegant set of six dining chairs was designed by acclaimed Czech designer Miroslav Navrátil for Vertex during the mid-20th century. A key figure in postwar European design, Navrátil is celebrated for his forward-thinking use of materials and sculptural, ergonomic forms—both of which are beautifully exemplified in this rare collection. Each chair features a molded fiberglass shell seat, newly upholstered in luxurious cream teddy fabric. The soft, textured boucle adds warmth and comfort, providing a contemporary twist on a classic mid-century profile. The gentle curve of the backrest and integrated seat create a cocoon-like effect, both visually inviting and supportive. The bases are crafted from solid beechwood, known for its durability and fine grain. The legs are lightly tapered and connected with horizontal stretchers for added stability, all finished in a natural tone that complements the neutral upholstery. The combination of organic materials and minimalist form results in a timeless design suitable for a wide range of interiors—from modernist to eclectic. This set is ideal for dining rooms, studios, or boutique commercial spaces. Their compact footprint and light visual presence make them especially well-suited for urban interiors or curated vintage collections. Dimensions: Height: 80 cm Width: 52 cm Depth: 60 cm Seat Height: 44 cm All six chairs are in excellent restored condition, featuring newly applied upholstery and refinished beechwood frames. The original fiberglass shells remain structurally intact and true to their design. A striking blend of mid-century innovation and contemporary comfort, these chairs offer an iconic seating solution with enduring style and craftsmanship.
