Keil painted with some of the greats including Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Joan Miro, to name a few. This is a gorgeous piece titled “Wannsee” referring to the beautiful lake in Berlin, Germany, where he painted this piece as part of his German collection. It was executed with acrylic on canvas and signed and dated “P. Keil, ‘97” in the lower left corner. It is also titled and signed with location “Wannsee, Peter Keil, Berlin” on the verso. This piece was purchased directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter. The art is in good condition with typical signs of age and wear, with minor rippling to the canvas due to age.
