The scene depicts three characters including one standing on the left dressed in elaborate red and white dress with a lace cape and ruff. He holds a feathered hat probably a nobleman or gentleman. Two women seated on the right one blonde in the foreground elegantly dressed in a turquoise and pale pink dress decorated with flowers,the other brunette is behind her with a fan perhaps a lady-in-waiting. The brushstroke appears to be fine and controlled especially in the faces and clothes wider in the background and details. General Condition: Good condition. Provenance: early 19th century France.
