A beautiful mouth-blown glass art cup which was hand-crafted in Germany by Ittig Glassworks in Wertheim, Germany during the late 1950s.
Such traditional glass cups have been produced by Ittig since 1841.
The so-called 'Cabbage Stalk' (German: Krautstrunk) is a bulbous glass beaker decorated with fused glass knobs and was modeled after antique glass cups.
These beautiful traditional cups of colored glass have been known since ancient times and became very popular in Europe around 1500 among wealthy city dwellers and the nobility.
