son of the animalist painter luigi zuccheri, he inherited his passion for animals, recurring subjects in his creations.
toni zuccheri attended the faculty of architecture in venice under the guidance of gardella, albini, scarpa and samonà.
he began collaborating with venini in the 1960s: his first glass works were, following the family tradition, animals made of polychrome glass with precious techniques, such as the “murrine”, later a series of lamps with timeless charm and great aesthetic impact.
in 1965 he began collaborating with gio ponti, with whom he designed a new system of glass windows, the “vetrate grosse”. Later, it expands its glass production with new colors and subjects, participating in numerous exhibitions around the world.
