Our research shows that Frank Romero has achieved several auction results, the four highest of which are: in the sculpture-volume category, from almost €2,200 to over €5,900; in the painting category from over €1,400 to over €4,400; and in the prints and multiples category from over €1,100 to over €2,300, all prices to which auction fees of 25-30% must be added. Information about the artist and/or manufacturer:
Frank Romero is an artist born in East Los Angeles, California, in 1941. He grew up in the Los Angeles community of Boyle Heights, a culturally diverse middle-class neighborhood, and was already well into his career when he developed an awareness of being a Latino artist. During the height of the Chicano civil rights movement in the early 1970s, as a member of the Chicano artist group "Los Four," he achieved a new high-profile status in the broader art community. It was not until the mid-1980s, however, that Romero was able to give visual form to some of the emotionally charged political events he had witnessed. Some of his works are held at the National Museum of American Art, Washington, D.C.
