This pair of beauties acts as a bridge between 1930s Bauhaus and 1980s design. The structural principle - the cantilever, and the choice of materials - bent tubular steel and leather - belong to the former, but the overall shape sends us much later in time, to a more corporate-looking design. Imagine our surprise when we found out that they are from the 1950s. Truly avant la lettre, these comfortable chairs are quite the find. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
