Extraordinary Thonet entrance console, Model No. 4, dated 1898 and crafted from steam-bent beech with extraordinary craftsmanship. The base is distinguished by its elaborate scroll and cross workmanship, a true testament to the very high level of Thonet production at the end of the 19th century. The top is in white statuary marble with original bevel, in perfect condition, and provides a refined contrast to the dark wood structure.
