Antique Tabriz Haji-Jalili rug with diamond design rendered in floral motifs. Keivan Woven Arts / rug TU-ALK-4882, country of origin / type: Iran / Tabriz, circa 1880.

This magnificent antique Persian Tabriz carpet from late 19th century Iran was created by the master weaver Haj-Jalili. Featuring a large and ornate central medallion framed by diamond-shaped patterns and flanked by smaller floral motifs, this antique Haj-Jalili Tabriz carpet lives up to the expectations of even the most discerning eye. Two thin, taupe borders outline the large onyx border framing the entirety of the piece. Intricate patterns of vines and flowers can be seen throughout.
