The product is an American Sweetheart MacBeth-Evans pitcher from the 1930s, made of pink glass with a capacity of 80 oz. This antique pitcher is a lovely example of pressed glass with a glossy finish, perfect for serving drinks in a charming vintage style. Handmade in the United States, this round pitcher is a unique and collectible piece for those who appreciate classic American glassware.
Plump and gorgeous, this pink Depression glass pitcher from the 30's is from the Macbeth Evans Glass Company from their American Sweetheart line, with an ice lip that just won't quit, and the hard-to-find twist handle. Most of the American Sweetheart glassware was beautifully embellished with raised scrollwork, a small subset was left unornamented, like this pitcher. Quite rare! The sixteen panels that rise from the base to the undulating ice lip, along with the ribbed or twisted handle, are its only adornments. Very hard to see are the very fine scratches found on both sides of the pitcher. This gorgeous pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. It measures 8" high and is 8" from spout to handle and approx. 5 1/2" wide at its widest. Made before 1936....over 90 years old!
