The Severin Hansen Danish Modern teak coffee table, crafted for Haslev Møbelsnedkeri in the 1960s, exemplifies the refined simplicity and craftsmanship of Scandinavian mid-century design. Severin Hansen Jr., renowned for his minimalist approach, collaborated with Haslev, a Danish furniture manufacturer near Copenhagen, to produce pieces that are now highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts.
This coffee table showcases Hansen's signature design elements: clean lines, angular silhouettes, and elegantly tapered legs. Constructed from high-quality teak—a material prized for its durability and warm tones—the table reflects the Danish Modern ethos of functional beauty. Hansen's meticulous attention to joinery is evident in the seamless connections between the tabletop and legs, highlighting the superior craftsmanship characteristic of Haslev's production.
