Lucifer … Read more This Lucifer desk lamp was designed by Tom Ahlström and Hans Ehrich for the Swedish manufacturer Fagerhults in 1975. Lucifer has a simple modern design. The lamp is made of ivory and black plastic. It has adjustable height and a mechanism that keeps the lampshade parallel to the desk. The arm is placed on a heavy, round base that allows 360-degree rotation. Equipped with two 43 cm fluorescent lamps, which allows for the emission of a wide and bright beam of light. The lamp was controversial from the beginning due to its name, but this did not prevent it from gaining an icon status. It is still sold in auction houses around the world. In 2000, a limited edition of Lucifer was created, which can be seen at the digital exhibition Nordiska Museets.

Tom Ahlström and Hans Ehrich are a duo of Swedish designers. In 1968, they founded A&E Design. A company that quickly gained international fame. Ahlström and Ehrich have won numerous awards and accolades. Several of their designs can still be found in museums around the world. This piece has an attribution mark,
