The bottom half has an ornately decorated slant front opening front drop down panel that has two clever pull out support shelves to support the panel which becomes a large writing desk. Inside the desk are letter cubbies with a decorated central prospect door flanked by document drawers and carved with gilt Corinthian capitals . A true work of art!
