Purchased 35 years ago from well respected Antique Dealer, Bill Cornfield in Montecito, California.
He discovered them on a buying trip to London and was intrigued with their history in connection to Queen Victoria.
The chairs were made during her reign and resided in one of her residences. - See Crown Makers Mark in photos wood burned into the inner back leg.
They are really lovely, with thick original rush seats, a beautiful Oak Patina, and the seats are comfortable as the front leg tops are flush with the thick woven rush seats. See less
