Fine quality example of anglo indian furniture. Rectangular top with egg and dart carved edge, gadrooned detailing to the underside edge and further carving in the solid. Main feature being the carved sunburst decoration to the doors, gaining influence from the linen fold trends of the regency era. Working lock and key, opens to reveal an unpolished interior containing 2 sliding shelves. Further egg and dart moulding to the lower edge. Raised on 4 turned feet.

Good rich colour, recently hand re-polished in our workshop.

Very minor restorations to woodwork, minor surface marks to top surface. Ready for everyday use in the home." See less
