charming vintage wall relief by danish artist noomi backhausen, produced by søholm stentøj on the island of bornholm in the 1960s.
made in textured chamotte stoneware with hand-applied glazes in earthy browns and vibrant turquoise. The raised, organic motif resembles a stylised tree form with deep blue glaze pools – a hallmark of backhausen’s tactile and expressive ceramic language.
