This delightful deck chair belonged to John Herndon Maury, of Fredericksburg, VA, who served as a Lieutenant for the CSA in the Civil War. and was the son of CDRE Matthew Fontaine Maury.
The curvaceous mahogany folding deck chair dates to the late 19th Century, features a mahogany frame with new, hand-tied cane back and seat flanked by scrolling arms and splayed legs. Designed with a folding structure and adjustable foot rest that allows it to be moved and stored easily. Today, this chair will add charm and interest to any interior.
