A celebrated model for such iconic fashion houses as Dior and Givenchy, Lipton began painting as a means of relaxation. It was not long before her paintings were sort after and acquired by such prominent collectors as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Isaac Stern and Mrs. Vincent Astor, James Earl Jones, and the Mellon and Rockefeller families, who purchased them.
