This sofa comes from a Danish auction house and has been attributed to Ole Wanscher. It is a rare piece by the designer.
Ole Wanscher was an architect and professor of architecture specialised in furniture designs. Characteristic of designs by Ole Wanscher is his search for slender dimensions and resilient shapes. This three-seater has a mahogany frame fitted with loose cushions, upholstered in a white wool fabric. Stamps or markings are missing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
