The frames were refinished with neither stain nor toner, allowing the natural hue and shimmering chatoyance of the mahogany to speak for itself.

We upholstered the set in a lively performance fabric, complimenting the amber color of the frames and the whimsically low arms and floating seat backs. Generously proportioned seats and padded backrests offer comfort on par with a lounge chair.

At the time of production, these chairs would have had a cloth tag affixed to the underside of the seat board with small upholstery nails. The tags, due to their material and means of attachment, often separated from the seats over the years. Although the tags are gone, the nails used to attach them are still present on some of the chairs. The design, materials, and dimensions are also 100% indicative of John Keal for Brown Saltman.
