Exceptionally beautiful, slender secretary from the Berlin workshop of Adolph Friedrich Voigt around 1810/15, which gradually tapers from a width of just 85 cm to 65 cm. The austere architecture and the light, very striking poplar burl wood make the piece of furniture appear exceptionally modern. Local veneer wood, partly dyed "root veneers" corresponded to the progressive Berlin furniture production of the time as well as the taste of the zeitgeist. Apart from Voigt, only the Karlsruhe court workshop (Gambs) in the German-speaking world (excluding the Danube Monarchy) had given such importance to brass inlays on a dark background. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
