The under-top band … Read more French Louis XV tombeau chest of drawers in fine exotic wood with a red French marble top. The under-top band has two large drawers that can be pulled out using finely chiseled gilded bronze handles. The second and third drawers are unique and can also be pulled out using handles. The two corners are embellished with bronze elements depicting women's busts and end with cabriolet shoes. On the sides it has a curvilinear movement embellished by the herringbone woodwork. The base is of a mixtilinear type and is adorned with a central medallion in gilded bronze. The bottoms of the drawers are all in solid walnut and the locks are original from the period.
