This unique piece, designed by Kristian Solmer for Soren Viladsen, comes complete—a rare find. The aluminum disc retains its four rubber pads, ensuring a stable resting position on the frame, and it’s removable, doubling as a fruit tray if desired. To maintain its original elegance, this table still features the original smoked glass, securely placed on four resin-sphere-tipped bolts. It’s exceptionally hard to find in its entirety, as the glass or bolts are often missing

Kristian Solmer Vedel was a visiting student from 1944 to 1945 under the guidance of Professor Kaare Klint at the Furniture Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In 1946, he graduated from the Furniture Design Department of the Copenhagen School of Arts, Crafts, and Design, where he also taught from 1953 to 1956. He served as president of the Danish Furniture Designers from 1947 to 1949. He played a key role in the establishment of the Danish Industrial Designers and was the first president of the society, from 1966 to 1968.
