In the center, the baby Jesus lies on a white cloth, flanked by the Virgin Mary, in an attitude of tenderness and contemplation, and other male figures representing the Magi, who have come to pay homage to the baby Jesus.
The painting dates back to the first half of the 1700s and was produced in Naples (Italy) by the school of Francesco De Mura. As you can see from the photo on the back, the painting has been re-stretched and reframed, probably about thirty years ago.
With beautiful light, vivid colors and an antique charm, it has a beautiful patina of age, which gives it charm and establishes its era. It does not require any work. See less
